Medical and Professional Disclaimer
IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. THIS DOCUMENT CONTAINS LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNIFICATION CLAUSES.
Version date: 19 December 2025
This Medical and Professional Disclaimer applies to all content and services provided by Quadrian Pte. Ltd. (Sanoanimal), including our websites, online shop, learning platform, digital products, training courses, scripts, videos, recordings, live sessions, webinars, newsletters, community Q&A, and any communications by our team or consultants (collectively, the “Materials”).
This Disclaimer forms part of the contractual framework alongside our General Terms & Conditions, Training Regulations, Cancellation Policy, Privacy Policy, and the Scope of Practice (where applicable). If there is a conflict, mandatory consumer protections and applicable law prevail.
1. Educational Content Only (Not Medical or Veterinary Advice)
All Materials are provided for general educational and informational purposes only. They are not intended to be, and must not be relied upon as, veterinary advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for professional veterinary care. No content on the Platform is intended to create or replace an individual treatment plan for any specific horse.
2. No Veterinarian–Client–Patient Relationship
Your use of the Platform, purchase of Digital Products, participation in training courses, or communications with Sanoanimal do not establish a veterinarian–client–patient relationship.
Our instructors and consultants act as educators and nutrition professionals. They are not acting as your horse’s attending veterinarian, and they do not provide veterinary diagnosis or veterinary treatment.
3. Mandatory Veterinary Consultation and Emergency Warning
Nutritional support can complement—but does not replace—professional veterinary care.
- Consultation: You should consult a veterinarian before making changes to the diet, exercise, medication, or management of a horse with a known or suspected medical condition.
- Emergency Warning: If a horse shows signs of acute illness or distress (including suspected colic, severe pain, collapse, uncontrolled bleeding, neurological symptoms, suspected poisoning, or rapid deterioration), seek immediate veterinary care. Do not delay emergency treatment because of something you read or heard on the Platform.
- No Reliance: You should never ignore professional veterinary advice or delay seeking it because of information from Sanoanimal.
4. Assumption of Risk, No Warranty, and No Guarantee of Outcomes
Equine nutrition and management involve complex biological and environmental variables. By using the Materials, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Individual variation: Results vary significantly between horses and circumstances.
- No guarantee: We do not guarantee outcomes, performance, or specific results.
- As-is basis: The Materials are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy/completeness.
- User responsibility: You are responsible for deciding whether to apply information and for implementing changes safely and appropriately, including gradual changes where recommended.
Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
5. Third-Party Content, Tools, and External Links
The Platform may include references to third-party products/services and links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, availability, security, or practices of third parties.
We may use third-party tools (e.g., Zoom, WhatsApp, Vimeo, YouTube) to deliver parts of the learning experience. Third-party tools operate under their own terms and policies and may be unavailable from time to time.
6. Limitation of Liability (To the Extent Permitted by Law)
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Quadrian Pte. Ltd. and its directors, officers, employees, instructors, and contractors shall not be liable for:
- Any loss, injury, or damage arising from reliance on or use of the Materials;
- Adverse outcomes resulting from undisclosed medical conditions, incomplete information, or failure to seek veterinary care;
- Misuse or misapplication of guidance;
- Indirect or consequential losses (such as loss of profit, loss of business, loss of goodwill, or data loss), where such exclusions are permitted.
Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, liability is limited to foreseeable, typical damages arising directly from a proven breach of duty, and in any event (where legally permissible) to the amount paid for the relevant Digital Product or Course giving rise to the claim. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
7. Indemnification
Business Customers / Professionals: If you use the Materials in a professional capacity or as a Business Customer, to the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Quadrian Pte. Ltd., its directors, employees, and instructors from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your professional use or misuse of the Materials;
- Advice or services you provide to third parties;
- Your failure to comply with local laws, professional rules, or disclosure duties;
- Claims arising from animals under your care where you apply the Materials without appropriate veterinary involvement.
Consumers: Nothing in this section requires Consumers to indemnify us where such obligations would be unlawful or unfair under applicable consumer protection law. Where an indemnity is permitted for Consumers, it applies only to losses caused by the Consumer’s unlawful acts, fraud, or intentional misuse.
8. Professional Use, Scope of Practice, and Insurance (Students / Consultants)
If you are a student of the Equine Nutrition Consultant Course or otherwise use the Materials to advise others, you acknowledge that:
- You are responsible for operating within your local legal scope of practice and professional regulations;
- You are responsible for obtaining any licences, permissions, or registrations required in your jurisdiction;
- You should maintain appropriate professional liability insurance where your jurisdiction, insurer, or professional practice requires it;
- You must not represent yourself as a veterinarian or imply that you diagnose or treat diseases unless you are legally qualified and authorised to do so.
9. Severability and Updates
If any provision of this Disclaimer is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. We may update this Disclaimer from time to time. The version date indicates the current version.
