This Privacy Policy describes how Quadrian Pte. Ltd. (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you visit our website (the “Platform”), purchase our digital products, or enroll in our training courses.

We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK Data Protection Act, the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), and other applicable international privacy laws (e.g., CCPA/CPRA in the USA, PIPEDA in Canada, and the Privacy Acts of Australia and New Zealand).

III. Data Collection and Technical Processing

1. Server Log Files and Security

For technical reasons and to ensure platform stability, our servers record information that your browser automatically transmits using SSL/TLS encryption. This includes:

  • IP address (collected in anonymized form)
  • Date and time of the request
  • Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
  • Content of the request (specific page)
  • Access status/HTTP status code
  • Amount of data transferred
  • Browser type, version, and language
  • Operating system and its interface

2. Cookies and Local Storage

We use “cookies”—small text files stored on your device.

  • Essential Cookies: Necessary for the shopping cart and login functionality.
  • Analytical/Preference Cookies: Used only with your consent to remember settings or analyze traffic patterns.
  • Accessibility Settings: As stated in our Accessibility Statement, we store your preferred settings (e.g., contrast) to ensure usability.

3. External Content and Analytics (Third-Party Providers)

  • Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics with IP anonymization activated. Data is transmitted to Google servers in the USA. You can opt-out here.
  • Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel): Used for ad-effectiveness and remarketing. Meta may link your visit to your social media account.
  • Google Fonts: To ensure a uniform font display, our Platform uses web fonts provided by Google. When you access a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache.
  • Video Content (YouTube/Vimeo): Embedded in “Extended Privacy Mode.” Data is only transmitted upon playback.
  • Communication Tools: We use Zoom (Live sessions) and WhatsApp (Optional groups). These providers process data globally under their own privacy policies.

IV. Data Processing for Purchases and Training

1. Ordering and Payments

When you place an order, we process your data to fulfill the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

  • Payment Security: We share necessary data with payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, Klarna). Note: Quadrian Pte. Ltd. does not store your full credit card numbers or raw payment credentials on our own servers; these are handled exclusively by our secure, PCI-compliant payment partners.
  • Tax Compliance: We process location data (IP and billing address) to ensure correct tax/VAT calculation for worldwide digital sales.

2. The Sanoanimal Learning Platform

When you register for a course, we store:

  • Progress, assessment results, and exam attempts.
  • This data is retained to provide you with your certificate and manage your 24+3 month access period.

V. Newsletters and Marketing (Mailchimp)

We use Mailchimp (USA) for our newsletters.

  • Double Opt-In: Subscription requires a confirmation email.
  • Data Processing: Your email and metadata are stored in the USA. We have concluded a Data Processing Agreement based on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
  • Tracking: We analyze open and click rates via web beacons to improve our educational content.
  • Revocation: You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email.

VI. Data Sharing and International Transfers

As a Singapore-based company with German operations, data is processed in Singapore, the EU, and the USA.

  • Transfers to Singapore/USA: We ensure protection via Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and by selecting providers certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where applicable.
  • No Sale of Data: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.

VII. Your Statutory Rights (International)

You have the following rights globally, subject to local statutory requirements:

  1. Access & Information: To know what data we hold.
  2. Rectification: To correct inaccurate data.
  3. Erasure: To have data deleted (subject to tax/legal retention periods).
  4. Restriction: To limit how we use your data.
  5. Data Portability: To receive your data in a machine-readable format.
  6. Objection: To object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  7. Withdrawal: To revoke consent at any time.
  8. California Residents (Shine the Light/CPRA): You have the right to request information regarding the disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

2. No Professional-Client Relationship

Use of this Platform or purchase of digital products does not establish a veterinary-client relationship.

3. Accuracy and Links

We strive for accuracy but provide content “as is.” We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external websites linked from our Platform.

IX. Data Security and Retention

  • Security Measures: We use Technical and Organizational Measures (TOMs), including modern encryption, to protect your data.
  • Retention: Billing data is kept for 10 years (German tax law). Course data is kept for the duration of your access plus a period of 3 years to handle potential legal claims.

X. Supervisory Authorities

You have the right to complain to a data protection authority:

  • Singapore: Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC).
  • Germany: Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.
  • UK: Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
  • International: Your local national Privacy Commissioner.

XI. Protection of Minors (COPPA/GDPR)

Our Platform and products are not intended for children under the age of 16 (or 13 in the USA). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware of such collection, we will take steps to delete the information immediately.

XII. California “Do Not Track” (DNT) Disclosure

Currently, our Platform does not respond to “Do Not Track” signals from browsers, as no uniform technical standard for such signals has yet been established.

XIII. Updates to this Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Significant changes will be communicated via the Platform or email.

 

 

Privacy Policy Add-On (International)

  • Learning Platform: We process your learning progress and exam results to fulfill our contract (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR).
  • Video Conferencing (Zoom): Live meetings are recorded for educational purposes. By participating with video/audio enabled, you consent to being recorded.
  • WhatsApp Groups: Participation is voluntary. Please note that data is processed by Meta Platforms in the USA.

International Data Transfer: As the controller is based in Singapore, data is transferred to a third country. We use Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) to ensure a high level of data protection.
